Casa 129 carries forward a belief in shaping experiences that invite people to come together. Founded by Jerry Adam Guzmán, the studio focuses on projects and objects at the intersection of hospitality, culture, and place. Blending strategy, brand, and spatial thinking, we create the environments where community can emerge.

The studio name comes from 129, Jerry's grandmother's home, where everyone felt seen, and care was a way of life. That spirit lives through everything Casa 129 develops.

Based in San Diego, the studio works across Southern California, the US-Mexico region, and on select projects nationally.

Jerry Adam Guzmán believes work is worth doing when it contributes to a life well-lived. What has stayed consistent in Jerry's career isn't a discipline but a single question he keeps returning to: what makes a place feel like somewhere people belong? That has carried him through nonprofit and public institutions into private industry, from neighborhood revitalization and cultural organizations to hospitality and private residences. Wherever the work has landed, his role has been weaving projects and partnerships so they create lasting value for the people and places they touch.

In San Diego, that instinct shows up in his civic life. Jerry serves on the Board of Directors for Bread & Salt and helped shape the Imperial Circle, a community-led giving initiative along Imperial Avenue. He is also a patron of the Sherman Heights Community Center, continuing his family's commitment to culture. Jerry holds that his role isn't to manufacture community, but to invite it in.
