ABOUT US

Casa 129 carries forward a tradition of making people feel seen and welcome. Founded by Jerry Adam Guzmán, the studio works at the intersection of brand, space, and experience. We conceive cultural spaces and hospitality projects grounded in place and connection.

The name comes from 129, Jerry's grandmother's home, where community and care were a way of life. That spirit lives through every moment and environment Casa 129 shapes.

Based in San Diego, the studio works across Southern California, the US-Mexico region, and on select projects nationally.

THE FOUNDER
Culture, Community, and Place

Jerry Adam Guzmán started as a graphic designer and built a practice that now spans strategy, brand, spatial thinking, and experience. He led arts and culture initiatives as director of a community-based nonprofit, contributing to neighborhood revitalization, and developed interior design strategies for luxury hospitality projects across California and Hawaiʻi.

In 2022 Jerry founded Casa 129 to bring that full range of thinking into one place. In 2024 he completed his MDes in Brand Design and Strategy at ArtCenter College of Design.

Jerry serves on the board of Bread & Salt and helped shape the Imperial Circle, a community-led giving group focused on reinvestment along Imperial Avenue. He is also a patron of the Sherman Heights Community Center, continuing his family's long-standing commitment to arts, culture, and community.
